The Good life awarded in Venice !

The Good life, directed by Jean Denizot, has won Feodora special mention and the EUROPA CINEMAS LABEL as best european films at Venice Days. With this label, the film will benefit from promotional support from Europa Cinemas and better exhibition thanks to a financial incentive for Network cinemas to include it in their programme schedule.

The jury issued the following statement: “This first feature by Jean Denizot is the highly poetic and moving version of an extraordinary true story. A father who has brought up his sons in hiding after losing a custody battle has to deal with his sons’ steps towards first love, adulthood and making decisions for themselves. We feel this film can strike a chord with audiences, young and old alike. ”

The Match Factory is in charge of international sales and Chrysalis Films will distribute the film in France (early 2014).
