The Match Factory will handle international sales of The Good life, first long feature directed by Jean Denizot, only french film selected at Venice Days. Amongst others, The Match Factory, founded by Michael Weber in 2006, represent Waltz with Bashir, by Ari Folman, Golden Globe for best foreign film in 2009, Uncle Boonmee who recalls his pasts lives, by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Palme d'Or at Cannes 2010, and Tabu, by Michel Gomes, who won the Albert Bauer prize at Berlinale. The Match Factory also represent the entire library of Aki Kaurismäki. „It’s a great honour for me to work with Mezzanine Films and Jean Denizot on The Good life. The film is full of tenderness and shows the big talent of first time director Jean Denizot " says Michael Weber, Managing Director of The Match Factory. „We are confident about the good reception of The Good life on the international market.“ The Good life will celebrate its World Premiere as Opening film of the Venice Days, on upcoming August 28th. |
